Jesus had a ministry of miracles:  turning the water into wine, healing the sick and afflicted, feeding the 5,000, and raising the dead.  Those were wonderous miracles.  But the most important miracle of all was when He died on the cross to pay our sin debt, was burried, and on the 3rd day rose from the dead.  That was enough to be a glorious, victorious miracle for me.  B/C of that miracle, our sins are forgiven and forgotton.

As for as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from sin, (Ps. v. 12).

We don't have to understand miracles to experience one.  Man has a twofold nature--physical and spiritual.  If we are willing to experience only what mind can understand, we will never experience a miracle.  The God of the natural life is the God of the supernatural.  The God who enforces the law of gravity enforces the law of miracles.  Nothing is impossible for Him.

Jesus said, "Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them" (Mark 11:24).  He also said, "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it" (John 14:14).  When you need a miracle in your life, remember that miracles happen when you obey the Word of God.

Thanks for sharing, and God bless

For me, I absolutely believe in miracles. God's plan is beyond my understanding and explanation.

Well, an intellectual like yourself, it always nice to hear your answers getting straight out of the book

Actually, I was hoping some of our side-kick brothers and sister would take a wag at this for a change.  I'm going to ask the pros to step a side for now    But thanks for sharing your thoughts on that.

Yes, I do believe in miracle. I strongly believe that God is actively intervening in all areas of our lives. God is at work spiritually and supernaturally through the Holy Spirit and Godly people. However, I believe that there is a balance in the provision of miracle. I believe that I have free will and responsibility, and God is faithful to work with me supernaturally. For me I see that I am  just a receiver; though I have faith, expectations, and demands, I must understand that miracle could only be supplied by God.

I also believe that God wanted us to exercise our spiritual gifts to serve God, the body of Christ and our community. His provision of wisdom and knowledge, the fruit of the spirit, other resources are sufficient for the basic need. But at some situation I need to rely totally on the miracle.

So what is your opinion on that?
