I have received some discouraging complains about spamming in our site. One pastor asked me to remove his profile and called www.cambodianchrisitna.com junk. He has been bothered by email notifications when people welcome or post comments to him, and a few spammed messages really bothered him—it affects his holiness.
Well people is people, some people don’t understand what social networking is all about. They signed up willingly, but refused to ask or learn. Email notification can be set to "not-to-notify" in the user’s profile. Well, I take it as a challenge, and I learned that any ministry would face criticism as well. Suggestions and complains are legitimates. I really appreciate them both.
I see the beauty of our social networkings, comments, sending message, and sermons and so on.
Those who have yahoo, gmail, hotmail and so on, will not get clean emails either—they will get some spams. Welcome to the real world! We have to find ways to fight that.
We have human spammers who signed up login and sent messages for pleasure. Before got cought some damages have been done.
After investigation and banned a few bad members and blocked ISPs, I have further spent hours reading, get support and look up the ISPs. I learned that those human spammers who signed up and sent message to our members are from AFRICA and SENEGAL.
