Title: I had this question
Tags: question
Blog Entry: back in Cambodia. One evening as I was laying on my back looking up into the blue sky, this question came to me: 'What is beyond the blue sky'? It sure was a reality check for a young boy like me. It startled me and it struck fear in my heart. How can I know? Like Mary the mother of Yeshua, I kept the question inside my heart. I asked no one for an answer, tho I would love to have an answer then. As I reflected back to that evening ecounter with the 'unknown'...I believe the Creator of the universe was there looking down on me and speaking to me saying, "You will know." Even tho I didn't hear him saying it, but I felt there had to be an answer for that question. You can say I had a personal encounter with an "unknown" God. From then on I was a "marked." When I came into contact with Christians by attending services on Sundays, my heart was drawn to the Christian God, like a spiritual fire was lit in my immost being. I was thirsting for more of this 'Christian God' with such zeal even tho the language was a barrier, but that didn't stop me from pursuing him who had said, "You will know." I had very little zeal for Buddhism back home in Cambodia. My famil lived next door to a monastery compound. To be exact, we were gate keepers if you will, of the east gate. I hope my direction is correct...wouldn't matter if it isn't. I didn't miss a thing of all the festivities that took place there years after years as I can remember. Yeah, what boy would want to miss all the goodies that are being brought to the temple? Not me, sir, num amsumd is good stuff! Yes, I found my answer to my question in due time when I placed my trust in Yeshua the Messiah of Israel, who had formed me from my mother's womb. Some may tempt to call me a real "sucker', easily persuaded. I was a hungry fish, I ate Yeshua when I saw him walking on the water, maybe it was Peter who had begin sinking to the bottom of the lake. Just because one was born to a particular race and on a particular piece of dirt on this earth does not guarantee what was passed down to me or you is the absolute truth nor are we any superior than other people. The Bible says: "The earth is Adonai with all that is in it, the world and those who live there; for he set its foundation on the seas and established on the rivers." Our loyalty should be to the God of Isra'el. To him all flesh shall come and bow low. To read my personal journal, 'A Journey Beyond The Sea' go HERE Homedee
